American Heart Association Ventures™
American Heart Association Ventures bridges the funding gap between research and real-world impact. We fund and support the growth of organizations that have developed commercially actionable, sustainable and equitable products and services from evidence-based science, research and clinical expertise.
Our investment strategy is designed to amplify the Association’s mission to advance health and hope for everyone, everywhere. We offer capacity-building support to companies and unique opportunities for donors to amplify their philanthropy through direct and sustainable impact that improves health and lives.
American Heart Association Ventures is uniquely positioned to make investments that drive better outcomes for people and the health care system. Every decision is backed by 100 years of knowledge at the intersection of science, medicine and health care delivery and leverages the insights of a national network of tens of thousands of staff and volunteers.
Translating Science and Research to Action
Go Red for Women Venture Fund™
The Go Red for Women Venture Fund™ invests across a spectrum of cardiovascular health, brain health and related conditions in alignment with the Association’s strategic focus on improving women’s health at every age, stage and season of life.
We make equity investments in companies with products and services that address conditions affecting women exclusively, differently or disproportionately. Focused on closing the women’s health gap, the Fund reinvests financial returns to create a cycle of positive change.

The Social Impact Funds
The Social Impact Funds support diverse for-profit and nonprofit businesses tackling the social drivers of health — life conditions that have a direct correlation to cardiovascular risk, health outcomes and longevity.
We fund organizations that focus on health care access and quality, food security and economic empowerment, deploying capital to give more people the opportunity to live longer, healthier lives. Our model creates a more equitable system of startup financing, spurring the growth of traditionally underfunded organizations and expanding resources in underserved communities.
